Knowledge Retention Evaluation Framework (KREF) Implemented at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Mostar

In a significant development for the IQPharm project – Innovating quality assessment tools for pharmacy studies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Mostar recently conducted Activity 2.3.6. KREF Implementation. The KREF, short for Knowledge Retention Evaluation Framework, aims to assess students’ knowledge retention in pharmacy studies.

From June 16 to June 19, 2023, students from the Faculty of Pharmacy participated in this evaluation process. The examination focused on assessing the knowledge retention of students from the first two years and the last three years of their pharmacy studies.

The KREF implementation holds immense importance for both the IQPharm project and the field of pharmacy education in general. By evaluating the long-term retention of knowledge among pharmacy students, this activity plays a crucial role in identifying potential gaps in the curriculum and teaching methods. It provides valuable insights into the effectiveness of the education system, allowing educators to make informed decisions about curriculum enhancements, teaching strategies, and targeted interventions.

Furthermore, the implementation of the KREF showcases the commitment of the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Mostar, to ensuring a high standard of pharmacy education.
